Eczema Meal Plan


Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause dry, itchy, and inflamed lesions, and is more common in individuals with a family history of allergies. Various triggers such as environmental irritants, stress, and a pro-inflammatory diet can cause flare-ups, leading to disrupted skin barrier function. To manage symptoms, eliminating pro-inflammatory foods such as refined, processed, and high-sugar foods, dairy, and gluten is recommended. While it may not be possible to eliminate these foods entirely, reducing consumption and introducing more whole foods can greatly improve symptoms. The meal plan includes delicious and nutrient-dense recipes that are low to medium in salicylates, amines, and nitrates, which can exacerbate symptoms if consumed excessively.
